I never tire of seeing the love and awe in parents' eyes as they gaze at their brand new baby! Many of the images we create during your newborn session will focus on the growing connection between family members. These photos will one day remind you not just what your newborn looked like but also what it felt like to hold him or her in your arms.
In addition to family snuggles, your newborn session will also include plenty of portraits of baby alone, so you can remember all those fleeting details! I describe my style as baby-led posing; I will guide baby into natural positions but always follow their cues. To keep the focus on your new little one, I opt for simple neutral wraps rather than elaborate props and setups.
Save yourself the time of looking through galleries of other photographers because Brittany is absolutely the best choice. She captured stunning photos of our newborn baby and I could not be happier with the entire experience. She was so easy to work with, flexible with scheduling, and even offers client wardrobe options. She made everything as easy as possible and I would absolutely, without a doubt, hire her again and again!

I loved working with Brittany for our newborn photoshoot for my daughter. She was easy to work with, thorough, KIND (important postpartum!), and she is so talented. We are IN LOVE with our photos of our baby. She was wonderful with our shy and cranky two year old as well. I completely recommend using Brittany, We are so happy we went with her!

Brittany was very supportive through the whole process even helping me mock up a gallery wall with her professional software. She personally delivered high quality matted prints and framed photos after she made sure they were perfect. The matted prints made excellent gifts for the grandparents and my gallery wall looks gorgeous. Working with her was such a great experience.

Finding Brittany was the best thing that could’ve happened! She provided a beautiful wardrobe for my family to wear, that I selected from samples. On the day of the shoot she was kind, warm and professional. She was also super patient when we had to stop for me to nurse and truly gave me all the time I needed.

I was a little hesitant to do a maternity shoot, but because I knew it was a memory I would want to keep, I decided to just do it and I am SO glad I did. Brittany made me feel so comfortable and offered dress choices that she knew would be my style. During the shoot she helped me to look my best in the most natural way, and the photos came out so beautifully, she captured a “glow” I didn’t even realise I had!

Brittany was incredibly understanding and flexible! She’s a mom and completely relates to it all. Our images reflect our experience - beautiful, loving and a great moment in time. I love seeing the images of my newborn, whom she spent 20 minutes rocking to sleep. She is a one-of-a kind photographer and I HIGHLY recommend her.

I recommend photographing newborns within the first 2 weeks of life, ideally between 5-10 days. Not only are they typically more sleepy and calm in the early days, but both parents are usually off work during that time, making scheduling easier. Some newborns also start to develop baby acne around 2-3 weeks old.
All newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home. A lot of clients are afraid that their home is too small - don't worry, I'm used to it! I will ask you to send me a short video of your home ahead of time so I can bring the right equipment and be prepared to best utilize your space.
Yes! I would love to include your pets in some photos during your Newborn session. Typically this means we aim for at least one photo of the whole family + pet and one of just pet + baby. Many families also have grandparents visiting during this time, and I always encourage them to join for a couple photos to document their growing bond with their new grandbaby!
I call my style baby-led. I aim to create certain types of images, but when it comes to specific poses, I always follow baby's cues. I will guide and soothe, but will never put your baby in a position they wouldn't find on their own. The most beautiful images are often created by baby, and I'm just there to document!
I bring simple white wraps for baby to wear during the session (I actually provide wardrobe for the whole family if you wish). I'm also happy to incorporate family heirlooms or special gifts, like a bonnet worn by Mom or a hand-knit blanket from Grandma. If you have a headband that you'd like baby to wear, we can use those as well.
